Suspended Ceiling Absorbers
These decorative, suspended ceiling panels are designed to reduce high levels of reverberant noise in large open areas.
The panels are light, sound absorbing and flame retardant and normally hung in vertical rows from the ceilings in public, commercial and industrial premises. The increased surface area they create acts as an extremely effective sound absorber.
Techmel PSA – plain suspended absorber
Manufactured from ultra light weight, open cell natural Melamine Foam, Techmel PSA decorative, flame retardant acoustic hanging panels are available in either white or light grey, or can be colour sprayed to suit any design requirement. A typical panel size for ceiling application is 75mm x 1200mm x 600mm although various other thicknesses are available, as is a fabric covered sound absorber (FSA) or wrapped version. A wide variety of three dimensional configurations are available subject to minimum order quantities.
Techmel GCSA – glass cloth suspended absorber
These panels are manufactured with a dense mineral wool infill. They can be encapsulated in either black glass cloth or the customers own flame retardant fabric, provided it has the required acoustic properties – further details are available on request. These absorbers can also be encapsulated in materials for use in hygiene critical applications, like food processing plants.
