JCW International Sales Effort Launched

The recent opening of new offices in Doha, Qatar, marks the launch of a major international sales effort by JCW Acoustic Supplies Qatar, targeting the exciting opportunities in the rapidly growing building and construction sector, not just in Qatar but also across the wider United Arab Emirates and North Africa region.

Laura Keegan, Commercial Manager of JCW Acoustic Supplies recently paid a week long induction visit to the territory, with the objectives of setting a clear sales strategy, conducting some “on the ground” research and importantly, meeting prospective customers.

Whilst there, Laura visited various construction companies to discuss the opportunities in a construction market which is quickly returning to near-full capacity after the financial crisis. As a mark of its confidence, the Government of Qatar has recently announced it is re-activating a number of major development projects and stepping up spending on social infrastructure in order to fulfil the objectives of both the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the ambitious expansion plans of Qatar’s Vision 2030.

Construction companies have been extremely positive to our presence and are keen to embrace the opportunity to work with such a well-established, experienced and professional UK business.

One of the highest profile projects under discussion is the impressive Mall of Qatar, currently under construction 15 km from the capital, which is set to become the centre piece of the Al Rayyan Gate, a project spanning in excess of 1.45 million square metres!

Laura also attend a seminar hosted by the British Embassy in conjunction with the University of the West of England and Qatar University, where she met Professor Richard Noble OBE, the developer of the ‘Blood Hound’, a new high speed vehicle expected to reach speeds of 1,050mph, which if attained would surpass the current land speed record of 760.343mph set in 1997.

JCW will certainly be expanding our presence in the region from our new base in Qatar and we are very excited about what the future may hold.
