Noise Absorption Expert Completes Intense race
We would like to congratulate our noise absorption business development manager Marc Taylor for completing the Ironman triathlon in Lanzarote. Marc completed the race in the extreme heat (temperatures of
28˚c) of the Canary islands in an admirable 13 hours 3 minutes and 56 seconds, shaving 40 minutes of his time last year!
The Race
The ironman race consists of a 2.4 mile swim in the Atlantic Ocean, a 112 mile cycle around the Island and finishing with running the full marathon (26.2 miles)
Here is how Marc got on:
Swim (3.9km) – 1:26:43
Cycle (180.2km) – 7:07:25
Run: (42.2km) – 4:12:04
Total including transitions: 13:03:56
Marc is now looking forward to taking on more Ironman challenges (he must be mad!!!)
